WHO


This invitational tournament will feature 32 girls, ages 12-14, from around the world, including local players from the Mid-Atlantic and the Holton-Arms School.

WHAT


Players will compete in a singles tournament and take part in a unique multinational doubles round robin.
Surface: Hard court

WHEN


Thursday August 7th to Sunday August 17th, 2008.
Activities to commence on Sunday August 9th.
Tennis to commence on Monday August 10th and end on Saturday August 16th.
Tournament dates allow for international travel time and raindates.

WHERE


Matches will take place at The Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland, located fifteen minutes from the nationŐs capital. Holton-Arms is an independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 3-12.

Campus facilities


The campus is comprised of seven buildings on a 57-acre campus including: two academic buildings, a new science wing, a lecture hall, two libraries, a performing arts center, a 400-seat theater, and a new black box theater. 7 tennis courts, a double gymnasium, an indoor competition-size pool, 3 athletic fields, a weight and training room, two dance studios, and a new track and stadium round out the sports facilities. The campus also has art and ceramic studios, as well as a photo lab.

HOUSING


Local families, many with girls playing in the SuperGirls event, provide housing for the international players.
